The Dynamic Seat Interchange enables the altering or upgrading of a chosen seating formation at any time.
The ‘Seat Sleeve’ innovation is an industry first. When the seat is in the ‘tip-up’ position it entirely covers the backrest, preventing uneven fading from UV light. More importantly, because the ‘Seat Sleeve’ has a rapid interchange function, venues that require different coloured seats for ‘branding’ patterns need only to change the sleeve, rather than the whole seat. This is both considerably faster and a fraction of the cost of changing entire seats.
Every model in The BOX Seat system can be easily reconfigured or upgraded… open your venue with a 903 model and upgrade to a 907, 908 or even 909 model in the future.
First, install your Grandstand seating plan with a ‘Star Burst’.
And later, change to a ‘Fade’ pattern. The options are endless and the interchange so rapid, you can achieve it in a day.
The clever seat geometry ensures that when the seat is in the ‘tip-up’ position it entirely covers the backrest.
The seat closes in line with the backrest, protecting it from harmful UV exposure. This vastly reduces discolouring and vignette-like fading; the underside is the only part of the chair that is exposed.
In combination with The BOX Seats high UV stabilising additives, The BOX Seat lasts longer and looks smarter throughout its life cycle.
The BOX Seat’s high backrest can negate the requirement for additional rails and secondary safety fittings in high-level tiers, reducing the fit-out cost in these venues. This clever design provides a substantial advantage in the safe egress of the crowd from a venue, as well as providing exceptional comfort.
The BOX-Shape design of all our models ensures that seats align more precisely. The linear geometry eliminates the void between more curved designs, preventing trip hazards and foot traps between seats.
The clever geometry and Soft Action “Tip-Up” Mechanism of The BOX Seat eliminates ‘scissor-action’ finger traps, preventing injuries which can be caused by metal brackets in many seat designs.
The silent, soft-action rotation mechanism produces a smooth, sophisticated feel and performs to over 400,000 cycles.
The mechanism is internally sealed so that no dampening fluid escapes- even when stored for transportation- and it is not directly exposed to the elements.
The ergonomic and anthropometric-focused design of The BOX Seat delivers the highest level of spectator comfort.
Developed from the latest WHO* data, The BOX Seat offers the most up-to-date human engineering available.
The integrated cushion system in many models maintains the correct ergonomic profile and provides superior lumbar support. The cushion edge is also highly protected from “wear and tear” by passers-by as it is recessed into the seat.

The BOX Seat’s ‘Plug and Play’ installation solution guarantees that your seating system is ready to use in minimum time.
Installers’ health and safety is carefully considered, with light-weight componentry helping to avoid back-strain injuries.
The High Rail System elevates the seat from the ground; higher than many other seating designs. This provides ease of installation with minimal bending. This method of install also makes it possible to quickly adjust seat spacing on the rail for clean seat line-up aesthetics.
The ‘Set & Forget’ Strap Fixing System firmly secures the seat to the rail. Unlike many other seat designs, periodic tightening maintenance isn’t required, so operational costs are further reduced.
The major advantage of the patented strap technology is that the fixing won’t loosen, unlike clamping mechanisms which loosen over time from a condition called ‘creep’.
Strap technology is particularly important, as it can be impossible to determine if a clamp has loosened and the spectator is at risk of falling.
The unique Rail System allows seats to be horizontally aligned on install and easily adjusted at any time with upgrades or the addition of accessories. This enables hassle-free versatility and an aesthetically pleasing finish to the overall look of the venue.
The BOX Seat world first ‘Vertical Seat Adjustment System’ reflects the innovation synonymous with The BOX Seat product range.
Sightlines are known to be the key ingredient in any venue. The BOX Seat incorporates a quick, vertical seat adjustment system that ensures a venue can meet its demanding sightline requirements, even if the concrete tiers are not akin to the architect’s expectations.
You can vertically adjust the seating system, even after completion of install.
The BOX Seat ‘High Rail System’ reduces installation, maintenance and labour costs.
The rail is installed at over 400mm above the ground and also supports the ease of row end cap letter identification, clearing riser steps and other obstacles.

The Tight-Folding Design of The BOX Seat enables the widest available ‘clearway’ between rows, doubling spectator accessibility and improving disabled user comfort.
Improving ‘clearway’ accelerates access and egress from the venue, enhancing crowd safety in the event of an emergency. It also enables the venue to start up and shut down quickly, saving on personnel and power costs.
Maximising ‘clearway’ also serves to increase revenue; halving the time taken for customers to reach vendor facilities. In some cases this has increased vendor sales by 500%.
Every BOX Seat is created from carefully engineered materials, providing exceptional strength and durability.
Although the basic model meets International Standard Organisation specifications, each seat can be further enhanced by adding higher grades of polymer or steel if desired.
The extensively engineered BOX Seat range performs exceptionally well over extended cycle testing, providing a strong, durable spectator seating solution (recently tested to Obesity High Load standards).
The location of seat and row numbers is designed to improve way-finding within the venue. The High Rail System ensures that row numbers are clearly visible above obstructions such as steps and seat numbers are as close to eye level as possible. Seat numbers are not tilted downwards, as with some other seating products.
Clear lenses protect number decals and allow for easy replacement or interchange with seat customisation for particular events.
Clear lens covers protect your number system and add a sophisticated finish.
Environmental Sustainability is at the forefront of The BOX Seat design.
The seat geometry is engineered to reduce material and energy consumption.
The patented seat tilting mechanism reduces the weight of the chair by over 2.5kg when compared to counterweight seat tipping systems. The compact design reduces storage and transportation whilst enhancing speed and ease of installation time, minimising labour and energy inputs.
All components can be recycled or reused, minimising global footprint
UV and weather protection ensures a long product life, optimising sustainability of the overall refurbishment
The BOX Seat’s High Rail system elevates the seat from the ground high enough to protect from accidental, small rubbish fires and greatly reduces the likelihood of ignition from such fires. Additionally, BOX Seat models can include engineered compounds to meet FR ratings, as required.
The High Rail system can include a curved section, which is inserted where seating rows change angle in corner bays. This enables a smooth transition of seats throughout a bay and improves spectators’ personal space and comfort in these areas. The Curved Rail delivers a more intelligent alternative to the common solution of installing two straight rails, where the ends can “butt up” against each other and provide users with less space between seats.
